She brings a very good nose and a substantial amount of drive to the field. Equally adept in her retrieving work as well as in her upland work, finding and putting birds in the air. Maly is a perfect example of big things coming in small packages. She is eager to please with an intense desire to retrieve. Maly is a steady, a great marking dog and fast in her work. She already has wealth of retrieving experience at her young age, excelling in the many tower hunts she has worked. Maly earned her AKC Senior Hunter Title in 2023 and her Master Hunter Title along with her Master Hunter Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024. We are excited to see how far this little girl can go!

Riddle is quite possibly the happiest dog we have ever been around. She is another example of big things coming in small packages. Riddle has a strong nose and is a very good marking dog and is always happy in her work. She is a quiet companion in the blind and has been a joy to handle in numerous European Tower Hunts. Riddle earned her AKC Master Hunter Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024. Who knows how far this girl can go, the only thing we know is that it will be a fun ride!

Ryeval is the latest of our “home grown” females. She is a long legged girl with lots of drive and an eagerness to please in the field, at the line, and in our home. She has proven herself as an upland hunter whether chasing grouse or pheasants, it is an absolute joy to watch her search for game and get the birds in the air. She is also a quiet companion in the duck blind, always ready to work when the birds come in. Ryeval also has shown excellent marking ability in the many tower hunts she has worked as well as in her hunt test career. Ryeval has earned her AKC Junior, AKC Senior, and Master Hunter Titles. The sky is the limit for this hard working girl!

Solie came to us as a finished dog out of Mississippi. Solie and Janet have become quite a team in the hunt test world with the pair adding 17 Master Hunt Test Passes in from May of 2023 – September of 2024. Solie is also a very accomplished partner in a hunting blind with guided hunts under her belt in the pot hole region of Saskatchewan and the prairies of Oaklahoma. She has performed very well chasing all manner of waterfowl from puddle ducks to cranes and is a quiet companion in the blind. Solie also has an amazing off switch and is the sweetest couch companion.

“Blitz” Storm’s Ahead Windy City Wildside is fast and stylish very much like her mother. She is always willing and loves her work. Blitz has been a real treat to train, intense and full of desire. She is a great marking dog that barely slows down on the pickup and is back at my side before I realize it. Blitz has the right balance of intensity and great off switch making her a great companion. She served many years as our number one goose retriever, darting from her blind or leaping from the boat into the icy river to bring back the biggest and meanest of cripples. Blitz has retired from our breeding program after her final litter in January 2024.

Kai has proven her ability to adapt to most situations throughout her life. She began her hunting career chasing grouse in Northern Michigan. She also has extensive experience working European Tower Hunts and field hunts for pheasants here in Michigan and in South Dakota. She also is quite at home in the duck blind or boat as well. She is a quiet, calm companion in the home and is quite comfortable on the couch. Kai has obtained her AKC Junior, Senior, and Master Hunter Titles. In 2020 she came out of campaigning retirement and rejoined the hunt test circuit adding 24 more AKC Master Passes over the last three years, earning invitations to the Master National Hunt Test in each of those years. Apparently she doesn’t put much stock in the “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” adage. Kai retired from the hunt test circuit at the end of 2023, but is still an active hunting and couch companion.

“Teal” always aimed to please. She was an excellent hunting partner, competitor and wonderful family house dog. She was a serious working dog as well as a calm and relaxed companion. She allowed me the privilege to stand beside her as she acquired her Junior, Senior, and Master Hunt Test titles. She blessed us with many puppies that have proven to be outstanding hunt test and field trial competitors, multiple offspring making the derby list, FC and AFC status. Thank you Teal. We miss you.

Sadly “Atti” with her wonderful outgoing personality passed in March of 2020. She ran Senior Hunt Tests with Nick Pelfresne (12 year old handler at the time). Atti’s laid back personality and Nick’s eager level headed ability to learn made them a great team. She seemed to always pass her fine qualities on to her puppies as well. Her puppies showed great promise at a young age and went on to successful hunting, hunt test, and military careers. We love and miss you, Atti.
